Description
Mark Twain Avatar - Warren Brown
Warren Brown has been portraying Samuel Langhorne Clemens, America's greatest storyteller, in Catch The Twain across the country. He was a four-year, member of the Illinois Humanities Council, Road Scholars Speakers Bureau and is a recipient of the Studs Terkel Humanities Service Award. Catch The Twain is an uproariously authentic characterization of Clemens' (a.k.a. Mark Twain) stories and lecture series, guaranteed to entertain audiences. The core program includes general information about the author's life, family, and travels. Most commonly used stories include: The Golden Arm, Presence of Mind, Travels at Home and Abroad, The Cat Story, Putnam's Book Store, The Interviewer, Running for President, Bad Habits, Maxims, and concluding remarks. The program promotes an appreciation for humanity, education, and literacy in a way that is humorous, inspirational, and historically amusing, appealing to people ages 4-104. A first-person Chautauqua-style audience question and answer session makes this show unique. Answers to the 'meaning of life' are addressed.
