The Beaus

Description

Chicago's own cabaret MAN-band made up of Kylie Bear, Olin, Kiki and Dustin. The Beaus sing the gambit of music styles from blues to jazz to musical theatre to pop! They do it all with style, sassiness, humor and dazzling vocal harmonies. Touring regionally and internationally their momentum gained after years in the cabaret scene marked a significant presence for the ensemble among the theatre and entertainment professionals of Chicago, garnering praise and admiration for their beautiful vocal stylings and their ever-exciting and provocative presentations.

Work Sample

In the sample above is a sample of our work. We did a 30 min set for Chicago Cabaret Week Kick Off in 2022. In the set, we do mix of showtunes, pop mashups, disco. We also do comedy songs, blues, jazz and standards - all done in tight 3-part harmonies.

It's a pretty true representation. We like to do music that can get you singing along, but also give you something to think about and feel. While those are just a segment of what we do, they capture our harmonies, banter and feel-good nature of our group.

History

We have been performing together in different iterations for 15 years perfecting our blend and style. The most recent iteration "The Beaus" has been in performance since 2017 traveling regionally (midwest) and internationally (Puerto Vallarta) continually developing new material for audiences. We've been working consistently doing monthly shows, variety events, street festivals and corporate gigs. For the past year we've been performing monthly at Vincent Chicago. Having enough rep to tailor our show for specific audiences has been key for us.

Artistic Vision

We strive to entertain, first and foremost - and to take the audience on an adventure with us, and allowing space for each unique walk of life. We strive to make everyone feel at home at our shows through bringing a wide mix of music from contemporary, classics, musical theatre, to piano bar sing-alongs. And we do it with an unmatched vocal blend and banter that can only be cultivated through experience of performing together for over a decade.
