Maureen is an award-winning concert vocalist with a voice "crystal clear, not a note or syllable wasted." Maureen has received invitations to sing for dignitaries including Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, shared the stage with pop star Barry Manilow, and opened for Willie Nelson.
Michael Bazan Woodwinds: Michael is a talented woodwind player. Michael plays the tenor saxophone, the alto saxophone, the flute and the clarinet. Michael can be heard on the Veggi Tale Videos. He's played for Cab Calloway, Billy Eckstein, Bob Hope, Jerry Lewis, The Four Tops and Frankie Valley.

Work Sample
Maureen and Michael have over 35 different themed concerts for presenters to choose from. Most of these programs have toured (ie more than one presentation) and are typically presented with a least a trio which includes their pianist. They can also add rhythm section and extra horns for larger presentations. Maureen and Michael have custom arrangements for vocal with Symphony Pops and also Big band. Total Running times average between 60 and 75 minutes, but can be extended with an intermission in between sets.

History
Maureen and Michael began making music and presenting concerts together over 20 years ago. Together they have performed with multiple Big Bands, Concert Bands, Symphony Orchestras, and small ensembles from just a duo together, trio, quartet as well as larger ensembles. Michael received his Master Degree on Clarinet from DePaul University, honed his love of jazz by playing alto and tenor saxophone, and plays flute as well.
Maureen has studied the Great American Songbook and such composers as Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer, the Gershwin's, Burt Bacharach, Julie Stein, Rodgers and Hammerstein and more. Maureen also has an appreciation of 70's music including Streisand, Manilow, John Denver, Olivia Newton John and James Taylor. They wer previously included on the Artstour Roster, and are comfortable presenting their concerts in intimate venues such a libraries, cabaret clubs, up thru various Presenting Arts Centers, and Auditoriums.
Artistic Vision
Maureen and Michael believe strongly in the Great american songbook, and in particular how music can connect people in an honest, intimate way that often words alone cannot. They believe that music is their calling, and as musical artist their job is to allow the music to bring joy, to comfort in sorrow, to share in celebration, to demonstrate creativity, to distract from life's challenges, to stimulate the intellect, and to entertain & lift the spirit. Michael also enjoys bringing an educational component to the concerts which stems from his love of being a teacher for over 30 years. Maureen and Michael are comfortable together making music and enjoy making music together. Their enthusiasm for what they do, along with their ease and friendliness, is shared with the audience creating an exciting, happy musical experience.
