The website pages I submitted include several videos. Some of those videos are demos of solo shows; others are videos of single song performances. All videos are clearly marked. You will see my work ranges from exploring various ideas to educating the public on the plight of Asian elephants to paying tribute to specific entertainers.

History

I started as a professional actress in Chicago, where I worked steadily for 10 years before finding my true artistic home as a cabaret artist. In the past 20 years, I have created 10 solo shows, which have been performed throughout the Midwest, as well as in LA, NYC, and London, England. These shows celebrate the music of the Great American Songbook -- past, present, and future -- as well as pay tribute to some of entertainment's most beloved icons. CBS2 Chicago named me one of the Top 5 Female Musicians in Chicago. The Chicago Tribune called me "... a tour de force of cabaret, opera, and jazz."

Artistic Vision

I believe the Great American Songbook is still being written. My shows include music from many genres and eras. As a cabaret artist, my job is to tell really good stories. I spend close to a year creating each of my solo shows, making sure the music I choose serves the stories I'm telling, that the shows are a good balance of entertainment and education, and a good mix of humor and heart. I am best known for a unique take on traditional cabaret fare and for pushing the boundaries about what that fare can be.
