Work Sample
A live performance of my original composition "Dexter's Laboratory". Recorded live at The Fulton Street Collective in Chicago in 2021 (run time 7:44).
Dexter's Laboratory is a composition I wrote in tribute to the great saxophonist Dexter Gordon. I feel that it captures precisely my current aesthetic of drawing from primary sources and presenting that material in a modern setting.

Artistic Vision
The jazz of the late 1950s and 1960s has always been my inspiration. I continue to be influenced by the melodic, harmonic and rhythmic language of that era. Seeking new ways to navigate the spirit of the mid-century jazz language, my music results in a modern aesthetic with strong roots in primary sources.
