Alina Celeste and Mi Amigo Hamlet are both Parents' Choice Silver Award Winners (2019) for their bilingual music for kids and families. Hamlet has provided bilingual arts and music programs in the Chicagoland area since 2001. His debut album for kids and families, Happy Land is Tierra Feliz, was listed as one of Billboard's Best Latin Albums for kids in 2018. Alina has taught early childhood music and arts classes and toured internationally since 2009, her YouTube Channel was launched in 2015 and won a Parent's Choice Gold Award in 2018. Together, they want you to know that Being Bilingual Rocks! / ¡Ser Bilingüe Rocks! Their interactive show incorporates original and folk tunes in Spanish and English, with music spanning genres including Flamenco, Rumba, Bluegrass, Reggae, Cuban Son, Bossa Nova and other Caribbean and Latin American and North American Beats. Be prepared to dance, sing and ROCK OUT, bilingual style. 🙂

Work Sample

This was a series of bilingual videos, teaching Spanish vocabulary through art and music. This particular episode was 16:40 minutes, but each episode was under 20 minutes. We provide live workshops similar to this video, and concerts that involve and art project as well.

We create inclusive, engaging, bilingual musical experiences in many different environments. These video samples show our range in terms of music for music's sake, through educational and arts experiences, as well as cultural exchange.

Together, they want you to know that Being Bilingual Rocks! / ¡Ser Bilingüe Rocks! Their interactive show incorporates original and folk tunes in Spanish and English, with music spanning genres including Flamenco, Rumba, Bluegrass, Reggae, Cuban Son, Bossa Nova and other Caribbean and Latin American and North American Beats.  They also provide workshops for educators and other professionals who work with children on incorporating arts and music into the classroom, encouraging language acquisition through arts and music, and incorporating Spanish into the classroom and art.

To provide our local and global community with a creative and holistic approach to teaching languages, art, music, and wellness practice through open engagement with artists, educators, wellness specialists, and institutions that share the same vision.

Most of our work is either with children from birth to 10 years old, educators and librarians, or family concerts. We often perform as schools and libraries.

We consider ourselves to be a product of our mixed heritages, Guatemalan, Cuban, American, Teachers, Artists and Human Beings creating community through music, bilingualism, and art.
