Our video samples are accessible representations of our quartet sound. Our performances vary from the standards of the string quartet oevre, to new classical music, to our own arrangements or original tunes.

History

The Four Equals String Quartet is a professional chamber ensemble based in the Chicago area. Founded by Carmen Ableson (violin), Maria Arrua (violin), Roslyn Green (viola), and Philip Bergman (cello), the members met and began performing recitals around the city as part of their Civic Fellowships with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.

Through our experience with the Civic Fellowship and designing/extensively touring multiple CSO-Connect presentations, we are highly trained in interactive educational performances, and have done training workshops with leaders in the field. We can customize a presentation to the repertoire and the audience, customizing the presentation to any age group or experience level.
