Description
The Bel Sonore Chamber Ensemble is a woodwind trio (flute, oboe and bassoon) with soprano voice. Our repertoire runs the gamut from Baroque arias to German and English art songs to contemporary classical music to jazz standards, and our programs showcase this sort of diversity of music. Bel Sonore was formed in New York City and later reconstituted in Chicago, where we have performed for countless enthusiastic audiences in public libraries, senior communities and other venues.
Work Sample
Our website has a number of samples of our music as well as sample programs.
History
Bel Sonore was founded in New York City and reformed in Chicago. We have performed countless times for enthusiastic audiences in Chicagoland and southern Wisconsin at public libraries, senior communities, corporate events, the Chicago Botanical Gardens, Prairie Crossing and 4th Presbyterian Church, as well as in New York City in such venues as CAMI Hall and the Brooklyn Museum.
Artistic Vision
Our music is chamber music with a very strong twist: an unusual combination of instruments (flute, oboe and bassoon) with soprano voice doing arrangements of everything from Baroque arias to German and English art songs to contemporary classical music to jazz standards.
Programs for Specific Audience(s) Expertise
We have done dozens and dozens of programs for senior citizens, in particular.
