Anna Piotrowski is a classically trained violinist with over 26 years of experience on her instrument. Whether she is performing a masterwork with an orchestra or pop music at a wedding or private event, she strives to evoke emotion and create an enjoyable experience for all! She loves to demonstrate the versatility of the violin and is passionate about bringing music and music education to all.

History

I began playing the violin at age 5, received degrees in Violin Performance from the University of Michigan and DePaul University (BM and MM), was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago from 2017-2021, and have performed with many other ensembles! I was a substitute with the New World Symphony in Miami Beach from 2016-2021, and am currently a substitute with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. I am very busy with weddings and private events and have performed for over 100 weddings! I am also in my 7th year as a full time Strings Teacher at St. Benedict Preparatory School in Chicago. I have attended many summer programs as well, including the Blackburn Music Academy at Festival Napa Valley, Britten-Pears Young Artist Program, National Repertory Orchestra, Round Top Festival, and others.

Artistic Vision

Whether I am performing in an ensemble or as a soloist, I aim for my music to be accessible, relevant, and inspiring. My classical roots inform my approach to modern and non-classical music, and I believe there is validity and importance in all styles and genres of music.

Programs for Specific Audience(s) Expertise

I am comfortable working with and performing for children due to my teaching experience with students primarily ages 6-14. I also frequently perform at senior centers, and am comfortable interacting with that audience as well.
