Cabaret duo Beckie Menzie and Tom Michael are hailed by critics as "pure brilliance," and "cabaret at its best!" Their imaginative musical twists of jazz favorites, standards, contemporary, Broadway and film gems have appeared on the country's most prestigious stages, including NYC's Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Chicago's Auditorium Theatre as well as art series across the country. Menzie is "indispensable to Chicago Cabaret," says Chicago Tribune, and she is praised by WGN as "one of the city's finest performers." With a voice Billboard Magazine describes as, "a revelation," Michael's hailed as "one of the most striking singers to emerge in the last few years" by BackStage Magazine. Menzie served as one of the Music Directors for the Michael Feinstein's Songbook Academy.

We have a holiday Christmas show that can be done with a chamber or full orchestra. We have several Tribute shows and several of our shows can opt to include a percussionist. There is a demo of that on YouTube and the YouTube we submitted was our general demo. We can tailor our shows to be either a one act or two act

History

Beckie Menzie and Tom Michael have been performing together for 22 years. We are as committed to sharing our music in libraries and senior centers as we are in art series and showcases as we have done at Carnegie and Jazz at Lincoln Center and Chicago's Auditorium Theatre.

Artistic Vision

We like to re-imagine well known songs, so the audience can hear them in a fresh way and really focus on the lyrics. The press has often called us "2 singers - 1 voice" because of our unique musical arrangements.
